Hostel World enable travellers to experience new places and meet new people in a fun, memorable and safe way.

the problem

Travelers don't trust hostels

Hostel world app is plagued with many issues leaving users feeling a bit lost and confused. The app lacks features that would be crusal in creating a greater community with its users. Hostels are views to be dangerous and unsafe places for travelers.

Refresh, Rebuild and Reconnect

Re-balancing hostel world user experience to create an easier more engaging flow. Allowing users to connect with locals to build unity with the community and introduce safety features to make guess feel safer in hostels.

The competition brings something different, but no ones perfect

Strong community to reach out too when traveling. Just need to put money upfront first to access all features in the app.

Open source and constantly evolving to connect people all over the world. Can be overwhelming and since it open source information is all over the place.

Find the perfect roommate when your traveling. The app makes simple things like communicating with the landlord an additional expense

We came up with the following conclusions

Price
Prices are the biggest selling point when it comes to staying at a hostel. Travelers are looking to save money.

Safety
Safety is the biggest concern when staying at a hostel. All of the people we interviewed shared the same concerns about safety.

Information
When it comes to traveling being informed never fails. 90% of the people that we interviewed always prepared for the trip by doing research before traveling.

Transportation
Getting around after you arrive to your hostel can get really expensive very quickly. People that we interviewed complained on how prices would double once they were found out to be visiting.
